>Garber United Methodist Church is sponsoring the 4th Annual Holiday Shop to Share on November 21st from 9am to 4pm in Morris Hall in the Garber Ministry Center, located at 4202 Country Club Road in New Bern.

This large sales event will feature over 20 vendors and a wide assortment of merchandise as well as the popular “Silent Auction” which offers opportunities to bid on popular items ranging from a 5 bedroom ocean front beach house to gift baskets. Each item has a value of $50+ and minimum bids will start at $25!

Admission is free and a sampling of merchandise include jewelry, make up, toys, bag stuffers, gift ideas and baskets, children’s clothing, kitchen items, decorating and much more. Come do your holiday shopping in one place!

Money raised from Shop to Share will benefit the Orphan Ministry Program at Garber Church. In association with Children’s HopeChest, a nation-wide relief organization, Garber sponsors over 65 Russian orphans. This program provides orphans with food, clothing, heat, and educational opportunities.

Each year, Garber sends a humanitarian team to orphanages in Russia. This year, the church has sent thirteen volunteers on two separate teams – one medical (vision, diabetes and blood pressure) and one building team which built much needed cabinets and storage facilities for the kids. Funds raised from last year’s Shop to Share helped to purchase critically needed snow tires, warm winter clothing, glasses as well as building supplies.
