An exciting theatrical production entitled, “Black Voices from the Past” will be performed by dramatic arts students in the ECU Thespians program taught by Dr. Watson. The play, written by Dr. Watson, will take place in the Tryon Palace auditorium at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 18.

“Black Voices from the Past” depicts various scenes that trace African and African-American historical events. Scenes are tied together with music and dance. There will also be poetry recitations to highlight the importance of African American creativity and resilience.
