I only stopped for 10 minutes and everyone that drove by either waved or honked. Carol believes in neighbors taking care of neighbors. I asked her about the “Good Ole Days” Farm around the corner on Hwy 17 and she was happy to tell me about the two mules that people stop to feed. She said they have hayrides in the fall and it’s a great place to bring your kids. She also told me to visit White’s Farm, south of her stand on Hwy 17. Carol’s southern charm was very welcoming and she seemed to be having a great time in the Eastern NC heat. Talk about hard work!
