James City Day – Homecoming Reunion for Native Born and Community Residents


Celebrate the heritage of James City from July 2nd – 4th. The three day event kicks off on Friday with a meet and greet.

Saturday brings a fun filled day for people to share their family history and to learn about the history of James City, participate in numerous activities, enjoy food, entertainment, games and take a tour of the Crockett-Miller Slave Quarters.

A quilt will be displayed with quilted memorial squares with loved ones names in various churches in James City with the final resting place at the Crockett-Miller Slave Quarters.

Families can honor their loved ones by participating in the family tree memorial hosted by Pilgrim Chapel Baptist Church. They can also purchase a leaf for a memory tree at the James City Community Center.
