>Tabernacle Preschool is a ministry of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Tabernacle Preschool is located at the corner of Broad and George Streets in beautiful downtown New Bern. It was created to provide a loving, Christian environment for preschoolers to explore their world, to socialize with their peers, and to establish a strong foundation for learning. We offer a faith-based preschool program for children ages 2-4. Our program offers 2 and 3 day a week classes for ages 2 and 3, and offers a 3 and 5 day a week program for 4 year olds.
Activities at the preschool include weekly chapel time, visits to the local library, field trips, center time, circle time, art projects, and outside play. Each week the children are exposed to various themes such as seasons, colors, shapes, and community workers with a connection to Bible stories and Bible verses. We use the WEE Learn and Scripture Bites Curricula. Both are Christian curricula and provide a wide variety of activities to engage each child. Each teacher also supplements these with her own experience and research that are age appropriate and consistent with scriptural foundations.
