In 2010, New Bern is 300 years old. You can help honor the rich history of North Carolina’s first state capitol and second oldest city. Whether you’re a history buff, a lover of the arts, or just enjoy strolling historic downtown, New Bern’s year-long 300th celebration has something for everyone.

Don’t miss New Bern’s 300th Jubilee, September 16-19, with something for everyone!

Experience the North Carolina Symphony Tribute Concert with an original debut composition, followed by dazzling fireworks on Friday, September 17.

Get up early for the 300th Heritage Parade on Saturday, September 18. More than 50 units are scheduled. Pick up your passport for the “Two Rivers, Many Cultures” festival and enjoy a variety of entertainment, family activities and unique cultural displays.

Don’t miss the special finale at 5:00 pm. Put on your dancing shoes at 5:30 pm and let the Hot Sauce band season your evening with their blend of lively music. Come and enjoy these free events and much more.
