If I had a child, they would be attending the Twin Rivers YMCA’s Summer Day Camp! It’s not too late to sign up.
It was refreshing to see the kids say “The Pledge of Allegiance” to start the day!
Thanks to Pat Drake for inviting me to see this special camp first hand. Tara Moore, Sports Director and Summer Day Camp Director told us they provide sports for ages two and a half up to eight grades to include T-ball, basketball and soccer (Sept – February).
Their focus is on Summer Day Camp that’s happening now. Because it’s an Olympic Summer, the program is studying different countries around the world. This week they’re visiting Japan to learn special crafts, languages, and sports.
Our local YMCA has all kinds of activities and events throughout the year for adults and children alike.
