The EPIC Center cares about Women and Children in Crisis

Thea Kincaid and I had the pleasure of meeting Sandy Quinonez, Executive Director of The Eastern Pregnancy Information Center (EPIC), to learn more about this unique non-profit organization.

The EPIC Center truly cares about women and children in crisis pregnancies. They’ve served our community for 20 years and some people still don’t know about their vital mission.

Putting myself in other people shoes, I try to image how I would cope with the news of becoming pregnant. Further, I think of what I would do if it wasn’t planned. I’m happy to know that women and young girls have a place to turn during a crisis in our community. The EPIC Center’s team of staff and volunteers is that special place.

Each year they provide services to over 1,000 women and young girls in six counties.

“The generous financial support of our friends & partners allows The EPIC Center to provide the following services — all FREE of charge: Pregnancy Tests; Ultrasounds; Options counseling; Continuing emotional support; Referrals to community agencies; Baby clothing and nursery items; Adoption information and referrals; Parenting and prenatal education; Housing referrals; and After abortion support.” – Taken from their website

They also offer a non-judgmental six week Bible study focusing on forgiveness. They strive to teach young girls and women on living healthier lifestyles and making good life choices.

The EPIC Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations come from grants, donors and the baby bottle campaign. They are a faith based organization so they don’t receive government funding. They need your help so they can help women and young girls facing crisis.
