Friday, November 15 – Trent River Coffee Company, New Bern
Saturday, November 16 – Clawson’s Restaurant, Beaufort
In Ruth’s words, “I’ve played music my whole life. On the streets, in pubs, in concert halls, subways, living rooms, booze cruises, festivals, beaches, hotel rooms, on the boardwalk, under the boardwalk, in caves, on top of mountains – I make music to live and live to make music.”
With one foot in the blues bar and one foot in the jazz club, Ruth’s music is heartfelt.
Her vocal range is seemingly limitless, and the slide guitar resonates with feeling as she brings her poetry to life. Once described as “Bonnie Raitt meets Doc Watson”, this performer is a unique treasure who will brighten the dark November night!
Doors open at 7:00 pm, concerts begin at 8:00. Tickets are $15 general, $12 members, $8 student and can be reserved by texting or calling 252-646-4657. See www.downeastfolkarts.org for more information.
