Promise Place is collecting Hygiene Products for Homeless Shelter

Promise Place

Promise Place is participating in the international #GivingTuesday and local #NewBernGives3 campaigns for the very first time this year. In an effort to give back to the community, staff and board members of the rape crisis center will:

Cook and serve dinner for RCS homeless shelter residents on Nov. 9th and Nov. 23rd.

Collect hygiene products, socks and underwear for the RCS homeless shelter. Certain hygiene products can be gently used, such as lotion, toothpaste, body spray/perfume, shampoo, conditioner, bottled body wash. Socks may also be gently used. Drop off sites are:

– Promise Place, 1401 Park Avenue, New Bern

– Neuse Realty, 601 Broad Creek Road, New Bern

– Culligan Water Systems, 2480 Hwy 70 E., New Bern

– Quay & Associates, 412 Broad Street, New Bern

– Harley Davidson of New Bern, 1613 Hwy 70 E, New Bern

Leave kind notes throughout the community to lift the spirits of community members and bring smiles to their faces.

Randomly give out gift certificates for various services and goods to community members.

Promise Place will conduct these acts of kindness throughout the month of November and will donate all collected items on #GivingTuesday, the global day of giving which falls on December 2nd this year.

Promise Place is the sexual assault resource center serving men, women and children in Craven, Jones and Pamlico Counties.
