North Carolina Coastal Federation Adds Silent Auction and Shrimp Boil to Annual Pelican Awards Celebration

North Carolina Coastal Federation

The North Carolina Coastal Federation’s annual Pelican Awards have been expanded to a full evening of celebration, food and a silent auction fundraiser to benefit the federation.

The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2015 at the North Carolina History Center in New Bern. Enjoy mouth-watering local food, including a traditional shrimp boil, live music, beer and wine in a relaxed, casual setting.  Everyone is invited to join in this special celebration of the coast.

The Pelican Awards laud the achievements of individuals, businesses, non-profit groups, local and state governments and educators who have demonstrated exemplary commitment and undertaken meaningful actions to protect and restore our coast.

The silent auction will feature a variety of coastal themed items from art to one-of-a-kind excursions.  A preview of select silent auction items will be available for early online bidding on July 1 at 32auctions.com/nccf. This is your opportunity to preview some of the exciting items up for auction and get a head start on the bidding!

Tickets are $50.00 for members, $60.00 for non-members and include the reception, shrimp boil, silent auction, and awards ceremony.

For more information or to register, visit our events page at:  www.nccoast.org/events or call the federation at 252-393-8185.
