Weyerhaeuser’s WAVE Fund recently awarded Partners In Education two WAVE Grants. The first grant was for $500 and went to New Bern High for the FBLA and HOSA programs. This grant was awarded through volunteer hours by Weyerhaeuser employee Lori Worley. The second grant was for $500 for A.H. Bangert Elementary’s math and science program and was awarded through volunteer hours by Weyerhaeuser employee Jessica Homyack.

Sponsored by the Weyerhaeuser employees’ Giving Fund, the WAVE grants support a broad range of social, environmental, and economic organizations that employees volunteer for in their communities. This combination of funding and volunteerism strengthens local nonprofit and civic programs and helps Weyerhaeuser contributions go further.
