St. Paul Catholic School is pleased to invite everyone to their fifth annual gala. Please plan on attending our fabulous “Reach for the Stars Gala” on Saturday, April 9, 2016, from 6:00pm to 12:30am.
Tickets are $50. Go on line to stpaulcs.org and purchase tickets at Reach for the Stars. This event, for the benefit of the school, will be held at the New Bern Convention Center. This gorgeous setting, overlooking the Trent River, is located at 203 South Front Street, New Bern, with ample free parking. Hors d’oeuvres will start off this dining feast. You will have an opportunity to enjoy Chef’s Edible Art Display, mini sweet potato biscuits, spanakopita, and petite three cheese quiche. The Flame will present a gourmet dinner, prepared by Chef Smoke and Chef Fong. You will start with dinner rolls and a delicious house salad. The dinner will be a combination of boneless short ribs with plum glaze and roasted chicken, roasted to perfection topped with veloute sauce. This will be accompaniment with piped garlic mashed potatoes and long stem honey glazed carrots. To finish off your meal you will be served chocolate mousse in martini glasses with lady fingers. That certainly sounds like a feast for everyone! A full cash bar will be available all evening. You may purchase a wrist band for $25 which entitles you to unlimited alcoholic drinks. In addition you may buy beer, wine and mixed drinks as an individual drink.
We are privileged to have Buzzy Stubbs, a prominent local member of the community, as the auctioneer. Come and watch Buzzy auction items like no one else.
Music will be provided by the “Trainwreck Band.” This 7 piece band with vocalist will play a variety of music for your dancing or listening pleasure.
