Tour New Bern’s African American History with Tryon Palace

The monthly Tryon Palace African American Heritage Tour will lead visitors on a walk to more than 20 historic locations around downtown New Bern. The monthly tour begins at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 19.

The Tryon Palace African American Heritage Tour will be offered on the third Sunday of each month through November.

Tours begin at the Waystation, located on the corner of George and Pollock streets, at 2 p.m. Tickets are included with the purchase of a One Day Pass, or may be purchased separately at a cost of $6 for adults and $3 for youth. Tickets sold on a first come, first served basis. Space is limited.

Admission is free for Tryon Palace Foundation members.
