The Neuse Sunrise (Bridgeton) Rotary Club is hosting a golf fundraiser to raise money for a scholarship. The scholarship is for a woman returning to the work force who could benefit from training at Craven Community College. The goal is to raise $1000 for a scholarship. Last year we did $1500, but at this point, we’ll be happy to get $1000.
We need golfers. We have two flights – a ladies only flight and a Jack/Jill flight. The date is 13 May with a rain date of 27 May.
The cost is $40 for a person who is a member of River Bend or Fairfield Harbour Golf Clubs that does not need a cart, $50 for a person who is a member of either golf club that needs a cart, or $60 for a person who does not belong to either club.
Included in the price is a continental breakfast, a lunch (at which the scholarship will be presented to the Dean of Craven Community College), water, snacks. There will be mulligans for sale and a 50/50 raffle. There will be a $5000 prize for a hole-in-one from Hearne’s Jewelers. The other two contests with prizes are the putting contest and closest to the pin.
The check in time is 800am. The putting contest will start at 08:20am. There will be a small prize for the winner of each flight. The point of contact is Tom Mark, who is all the Head Commissioner for Craven County as he is a member of our club. Please register online at NeuseSunriseRotary.org – go to the last menu item and select the golf item, there is a menu for registering there.
