Author Garret Biss will present “Principles of Success” at Craven Community College

The Small Business Center (SBC) at Craven Community College (Craven CC) will present a special workshop entitled “Principles of Success” Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. at Craven Community College, 800 College Court, Bosch Advanced Manufacturing Center, Room AMC 102.

This free workshop is for anyone who wants to improve their successes in business, professional and personal life.

Led by Garret Biss, New Bern resident and former US Marine Corps Aviator turned award-winning author and professional speaker, “Principles of Success” allows participants to learn self-empowerment strategies and time-tested performance principles that are the basis for personal and professional success.

“We all have the talent, skills and potential to be as successful as we want in any area of our life,” said Biss. “Often we just need to be empowered with a few new ideas, some simple tools or basic principles in order to reach the goals and create the success we desire in our lives.”

This workshop is hosted by the SBC at Craven CC, which is part of a network of 58 SBCs located at each of North Carolina’s community colleges. The SBC provides training events and one-on-one counseling services at no charge. The overall goals of the SBC Network are to assist in starting and growing small businesses, and to create and retain jobs in NC. In FY2016-17, the SBC at Craven CC held 71 training events and counseled 75 clients.

The public is invited to attend this free event and seating is limited. To register in advance, visit CravenCC.edu/sbc or call 252-638-1166.
