For the past four years I have served on the Human Trafficking Commission of North Carolina. Our state has made much progress in raising awareness and bringing powerful education to NC on human trafficking. Sadly however, we are still in the top 10 with reported cases of human trafficking in the United States.
There’s definitely more work to be done and I am thrilled the commission is offering this upcoming human trafficking symposium on April 9 and 10th in New Bern, North
Carolina. I’ve had the privilege to be involved in planning this symposium and I am thrilled that our wonderful city is the proud host.
The symposium is open to anyone that is interested in learning more about trafficking and would like to connect with leaders from across the state. Presenting at the event are professional speakers from across the country, leaders here in our state and powerful testimonies from survivors.
