Behind the Scenes look at New Bern and Beyond Podcast Recording

This is a rare behind the scenes video from our Podcast recording. We decided to record our 100th Episode as people have asked to be on the show but have been apprehensive because they’re shy or don’t know how it works. This is only part of the show.

During normal episodes, we have up to four guests and we talk about all the positive news to include the people, places, and events happening in New Bern and the surrounding areas to include the Crystal Coast!

Meet our Podsquad: Laura Johnson, Advisor to New Bern Now; Lisa Bisbee-Lentz (Greater Good Gallery), Rich Sheridan (Crystal Coast Discovery Map), Susan Moffat-Thomas, Colleen Roberts (City of New Bern), Kathy Morrison (New Bern Historical Society) George Oliver (Oliver and Cheek, PLLC), Tracey Stones (NCMZ.live) and I talked about what we were all doing in June 2014 when we started the Podcast.

We were joined by the Southern Gentlemen Barbershop Chorus (Dave Parker, Jeremy LeRay, John Daly, and Randy Miller). Podsquad members: Jane Maulucci (The Reactive Voice) and Clayton Cheek (Oliver and Cheek, PLLC) were out of town.

If you didn’t know, New Bern Now teamed up with Mike Afflerbach, owner of New Bern’s News Talk Radio Station WNOS 103.9FM and 1450AM. on March 12, 2012 to provide “Community Segments” during commercial breaks.

We would love to have you join us for our podcast! We record every other Thursday between 1 – 2 p.m. and after editing, it publishes on NewBernNow.com and on our iTunes and Libsyn Channels the following Monday (or Tuesday if Monday’s a Holiday). It also airs on New Bern’s News Talk Radio Station WNOS 103.9FM and 1450AM every Wednesday at 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Since our time is limited to an hour, we can accommodate four guests (3 – 4 minutes). If you’d liked to join us, we have one opening left for September 6th. If that doesn’t work for you, the next one will be September 20th (and so on, every 2 weeks). Please let me know when you’d like to join us and I’ll add you to the schedule! If you can’t physically join us, our schedule is more flexible as we can do a phone interview on other days.

We can also help you promote your efforts by publishing articles (max 650 words) as long as they’re not “advertorials”. Our goal is to enrich, engage, entertain, and/or educate our audience. Please accompany any articles with a photo or logo so we can publish it on NewBernNow.com’s homepage along with other pages to include our daily email and social media platforms!

If you send us event information, it will be added to our Community Calendar and if it’s for a future event (Oct – Dec 2018) it will be published in our Ledger Magazine. Submission deadline for the magazine is September 15th.

Please let us know how we can help you by sending an email to info@newbernnow.com or calling 252-259-6853.
