>Spotlight Shines on “Paint’n Ladies” Working Artisan Studio!

Thea Kincaid and I enjoyed our visit to the “Paint’n Ladies” Working Artisan Studio at Studio 323 Art Gallery this morning.

The “Paint’n Ladies”, Nada Behr, Sandy Bruno, Barbara Hesketh, and Dee Mayer, are well known artists in our community. They’ve been painting for many years and have been painting together for the past 10 years.

When Studio 323 (the Old Baxter Building) opened their doors to Working Artisans, they took advantage of the opportunity to share their love of art by working together and critiquing each other’s work.

They are proud of their new art studio located on the second floor above the New Bern Artworks Gallery, as it is a central location for visitors to stop in and see their artwork.

Visit them at Studio 323 located at 323 Pollock St. Or call them about their paintings – Nada: 252-636-3631; Sandy: 252-670-3395; Barbara: 252-634-2949; Dee: 252-638-6980.

Thank you, Paint’n Ladies, for the wonderful tour of your quaint studio and showing us your beautiful artwork! We will tell our friends about our visit and will be back to see your latest paintings!

About New Bern Now
Editor-in-Chief, Wendy Card, founded New Bern Now in April 2009. There were a number of reasons she developed the website. While stationed in Washington DC, she had 30 days to transfer to Naval Hospital Cherry Point and didn’t know much about the area. She was frustrated because there wasn’t a central location on the Internet for information about New Bern. Wendy retired from the Navy in Oct 2007. When our economy dived, she was trying to find her way in life and decided to give back to the community by creating a website that provided a “One Stop, Information Shop” to help people find out what’s happening in our community along with creating a free business listing to help business owners who couldn’t afford to advertise.
