The Southern Gentlemen Chorus is a 501C3 non-profit organization.  A portion of the proceeds benefit Merci Clinic, Coastal Women’s Shelter and Navy and Marine Corp Relief organizations.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at The Bank of the Arts or at Fuller’s Music, or from a member of the Southern Gentlemen Chorus. They can also be purchased at the door on the night of the show.  Tickets will cost $15 in advance and $17 at the door.

The following is some information about our guest quartet, The Humdingers.

The Humdingers Barbershop Quartet

The Humdingers have been entertaining audiences for almost 40 years. Collectively, they bring to the stage over 100 years of quartet experience and have performed throughout North America and several foreign countries. They are truly unique, as no other barbershop quartet in the world performs with the antique Deagan Organ Chimes along with original tap dance and straw-hat routines.

The quartet just performed in the Barbershop Harmony Society’s Mid-Winter competition in Tucson, Arizona.  They wowed the crowd with their music and comedy routines. This may be the best feature quartet that The Southern Gentlemen Barbershop Chorus has ever had on the annual show.  They are very entertaining and would be great for all family members to see and hear.

About New Bern Now
Editor-in-Chief, Wendy Card, founded New Bern Now in April 2009. There were a number of reasons she developed the website. While stationed in Washington DC, she had 30 days to transfer to Naval Hospital Cherry Point and didn’t know much about the area. She was frustrated because there wasn’t a central location on the Internet for information about New Bern. Wendy retired from the Navy in Oct 2007. When our economy dived, she was trying to find her way in life and decided to give back to the community by creating a website that provided a “One Stop, Information Shop” to help people find out what’s happening in our community along with creating a free business listing to help business owners who couldn’t afford to advertise.
