Welcome to New Bern Now’s new website!

If you’ve visited New Bern Now prior to today, you may wonder if you’re at the right place!

We’re happy to announce that New Bern Now has received a major “makeover”. We’ve combined the community website and blog to make it a “One Stop, Information Shop” vs. having readers visit two sites.

We hope you like what you see and would really appreciate any feedback on how we can continue to improve our services to make it user friendly for our visitors.

Special thanks to Online Visibility Expert, Denise Wakeman, for mentoring me and teaching me tips and tricks to improve New Bern Now. I would also like to thank Artist, Graphic Designer, and Web Developer, Lisa Bisbee, for working with me to make this happen! I couldn’t have done it without their help!

Please bear with us, as we continue to fine tune New Bern’s community website.

If you’re looking for previous blog articles, we’ve transferred close to 1,400 articles to the new website. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please use the “Search box” in the navigation box to assist you. You can also send an email with any questions, comments, or to provide upcoming events and announcements.

We are working on a form so you can submit your information online. Don’t forget to visit New Bern Now’s Facebook page!

Thanks for visiting New Bern Now! Have a great day!

About New Bern Now
Editor-in-Chief, Wendy Card, founded New Bern Now in April 2009. There were a number of reasons she developed the website. While stationed in Washington DC, she had 30 days to transfer to Naval Hospital Cherry Point and didn’t know much about the area. She was frustrated because there wasn’t a central location on the Internet for information about New Bern. Wendy retired from the Navy in Oct 2007. When our economy dived, she was trying to find her way in life and decided to give back to the community by creating a website that provided a “One Stop, Information Shop” to help people find out what’s happening in our community along with creating a free business listing to help business owners who couldn’t afford to advertise.
