Fun-filled event with “A Dog’s Night Out”!

Listen to New Bern Now’s interview with A Dogs Dream Dreamer’s Foundation.

“Radio Laura” Johnson met with Dan Spangler, owner of A Dog’s Dream Boarding and Daycare. She interviewed Dan to learn more about his non-profit, A Dog’s Dream Dreamers Foundation and upcoming community event.

The Dreamers Foundation was created to support local animal rescue groups. They provide monetary contributions through donations and profits from special events.

Dan talked about their upcoming event, A Dog’s Night Out at the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center scheduled for June 9th from 5 – 9pm.

Pet owners are encouraged to participate in dog games, who knows, your dog may take away a prize.

Food and drinks are available and the Beer Army will host a beer garden.

The evening wraps up with a Disney Movie “Up”.

This is a rain or shine event.

About New Bern Now
Editor-in-Chief, Wendy Card, founded New Bern Now in April 2009. There were a number of reasons she developed the website. While stationed in Washington DC, she had 30 days to transfer to Naval Hospital Cherry Point and didn’t know much about the area. She was frustrated because there wasn’t a central location on the Internet for information about New Bern. Wendy retired from the Navy in Oct 2007. When our economy dived, she was trying to find her way in life and decided to give back to the community by creating a website that provided a “One Stop, Information Shop” to help people find out what’s happening in our community along with creating a free business listing to help business owners who couldn’t afford to advertise.

All of the staff at A Dogs Dream are wonderful! They do so much to help us with our personal dogs as well as our rescue dogs. My family volunteers with several groups including Mid Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League, Southern Belle Pit Bull Rescue, and the Humane Society of United States. They have been there at a drop of a hat in so many ways. :)

  2. Hello, Debbie. Thanks for sharing your experience with A Dogs Dream with NBN. Thank you for all you do for the animals in our community! – Wendy Card
