Volunteer Event Planner
The Coastal Carolina Chapter of the American Red Cross is looking for a special person who is committed to
community enhancement and enjoys challenging opportunities. This is a great opportunity to increase your
marketability for future job market management and planning positions.
The purpose of this position is to manage and schedule fundraising events for the Coastal Carolina Chapter. This
key position is suited for someone who is willing to learn new skills, develop and/or improve their planning,
marketing, advertising, and communication skills.
We need someone who is a team player, well organized, computer literate, and a multi-tasker with a strong work
ethic.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform market research to identify, plan, implement, and monitor fundraising activities.
- Develop, distribute, and follow-up on marketing and advertising material.
- Provide guidance, make decisions, and prepare materials needed to develop and implement fundraising
efforts.
- Coordinate volunteer participation in key events.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Your advisor will be the Chapter’s Executive Director and you will work directly with the Chapter’s team to
accomplish objectives.
Time commitment:
- Up to ten hours per week during event planning periods.
- Up to 20 hours per week during fundraising evolutions.
