Are you ready to take the leap and learn more about Social Media?
Then join us for New Bern Now’s Social Media Summit on October 12th!
This year’s theme is “Navigating our Future Together”. Why? Because we believe that if all of us join forces with local media, businesses, and non-profits, it will help us learn and work together to make our community stronger.
By attending the Summit, you will learn how to be more effective when using social media; you will find out how you can spread your message thru traditional media (television, newspaper, and radio); and you will meet new people among other things.
The Summit is a fun-filled day of learning and networking in the relaxing atmosphere of the Isaac Taylor Garden.
The event kicks off at 11:00am and runs until 4:00pm with a “roaming lunch” between 12:30pm – 1:30pm.
New this year is a Networking after Party from 5:00pm – 7:00pm!
We’re very fortunate as we have some terrific speakers to “show you the big picture” of why you need to being visible online. There’s a big difference between having a website or social media site and using it effectively and efficiently.
If you’re looking for a technical workshop where you learn “how to” create social media accounts, this isn’t it, but we can introduce you to the people who can help you! The speakers won’t be using technology to relay their messages as we want this to be an exciting learning adventure in a natural setting.
We also include a unique perspective to the event as we’ve invited traditional media companies. Wondering why? Because they can help you promote your non-profit and business.
Our goal is to help your organization reach potential clients/customers, enhance your brand awareness, and ultimately increase your revenue.
Thought leaders will teach you the benefits of using social media sites. We will also have special guests share their success stories with us. Lastly, we will introduce you to local thought leaders, web masters and marketing firms so you can leave the Summit knowing who to call for help.
