>Bicycle Rodeo to be held in New Bern

>
Keep Kids Safe (formerly Safe Kids), invites elementary school age children to join our Bike Rodeo on Saturday, May 15 from 10am-1pm in the New Bern Mall parking lot behind JC Penney.

This free rodeo is open to all elementary school kids, and will teach bicycle safety, the rules of the road, and proper helmet fit. Participants will have their bikes inspected by Flythe’s Bike Shop, and will go through safety checkpoints prior to riding our safety course. Rotations will begin at 10am, and take place every 30 minutes.

Bring your bike and helmet and join us for a day of fun. (Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian!) We will have door prizes, free giveaways, and concessions. Bike helmets will be available for those who can’t afford them.

Keep kids safe is comprised of representatives from the City of New Bern, Craven County Health Department, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Cub Scout Pack 494, CarolinaEast Health System, and the NC State Highway Patrol.

We would like to thank CarolinaEast Medical Center, which is a gold sponsor of this event!
