>New Bern’s 300th Anniversary Jubilee Flotilla

>Mark your calendars for Thursday, September 16th for New Bern’s 300th Anniversary Jubilee Flotilla. Boat owners are encouraged to decorate their boat with lights and a “300 Years” theme. Boats, large and small, are encouraged to join in the fun.

If you’d like to be a part of this extraordinary Jubilee event, please pick up a registration form at West New Bern Recreation Center at 1225 Pinetree Drive (by Kidsville), or call 252-639-2902.

For the land-lovers, we invite you to attend the Flotilla along East Front Street, near the vicinity of Broad Street. The open space between the Galley Store and Council Bluff Green is designated as the official spectator viewing area. (Union Point Park will be closed to foot traffic as well as vehicular traffic). Boats will pass the viewing area between 8:00pm and 8:30pm, but come early for the best spot! Watch as the riverfront is transformed into a moving light display.

Come experience the excitement of this kickoff to a spectacular Jubilee Weekend!
