The New Bern Parks and Recreation Department is beginning registration for our Hershey’s Track and Field Program. Boys and Girls ages 9 to 14 can participate. We will be hosting a local meet in June at New Bern High School. Winners will advance to the Eastern Region Meet to be held in June in Havelock, NC. First practice meets on April 22nd for participants to prepare for their events.
Some of the events include: 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, standing broad jump and softball throw. Parents may sign up their child at the West New Bern Recreation Center, located at: 1225 Pine Tree and pay a $5 fee.
