Art Walk Crawl and Last Roundup at Antiquery Boutiquery

Antiquery Boutiquery

Friday, July 11, is Art Walk where art lovers walk the walk and talk the talk, too).  We are pleased that we are on the list of places they will visit, particularly since this is our last roundup.

That’s right – Saturday is our last day on Middle Street.  We are closing down but expecting to reopen in 6-9 months although we do not have a location at this time.  It seems we overreached as the rent, cost of utilities, terrible winter, poor economy, all came together to make it impossible (well, at least difficult) to continue the business.  (And, so you don’t misunderstand, we have a wonderful and understanding landlord who was genuinely disappointed in our decision.)

Naturally, we have slashed our prices to guarantee less remaining inventory for us to put in storage.  If you are in the area, drop by tomorrow night (or Saturday) to take advantage of our giveaway prices on our remaining inventory.  Also, join us in some refreshments.  John and I will be happy to greet you.  (Martina is working in California and says, “thank you and so long for now”.)

We owe you a ‘thank you’ for your support and patronage.

We also thank John for all his hard work, cleverness and resourcefulness.  We don’t know what we would have done without him.  Furthermore, we thank Clay and Joe for their help behind the scenes.

In particular, I thank my ‘favorite’ wife, Martina, for her incredible work behind the scenes in decorating and setting the first rate setting for her shoppe; plus going to auctions, especially in NJ, and then transporting all to the shoppe via trailer attached to her car.  Everyone has to admire her energy & stamina.

Again, it has been fun meeting, as well as, getting to know you.  I hope you feel the same way about us.
