Partners In Education recently awarded Kyra Garner, art teacher at Havelock Middle, $250 for her 2015-16 Twin Rivers Artists’ Assn. Art Grant titled, “Picasso Self Portrait.” Ms. Garner’s project is designed to give her students experience mixing and using various colors in a work of art as well as introduce them to the artist Picasso, in a fun way.
