Behind the Scenes at the Hanna House Bed and Breakfast

The Hanna House is more than a beautiful and comforting Bed and Breakfast; they have a Beehive and Tesla Charging Station!

We caught up with Camille Klotz and she showed us her Beehive. She said, “We have hundreds of bees. My girls are Italian Bees and are pretty docile. During springtime, they’re out collecting pollen to make nectar and honey”.

Although I’m allergic to bees, I wasn’t concerned about being stung as the bees seemed to be in their own little world.

Mark your calendars for June 19th! It’s Honey Bee Day at the New Bern Farmers Market and you can get honey from the Pamlico-Craven County Beekeepers Association.

If you’re visiting New Bern or just want to stay Downtown for a couple of days, stay at the Hanna House. Or you can just stop by to say hello to Camille and Joe Klotz and learn more about their beautiful Bed and Breakfast.
