Children Invited to Trick or Treat with Ghosts, Ghouls at Tryon Palace

All Hallows EveAll Hallows’ Eve celebration set for Saturday, Oct. 28 

Ghouls, ghosts and witches are taking over Tryon Palace Saturday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. during All Hallows’ Eve.

Designed for ages 12 and younger, the brave children who attend All Hallows’ Eve will receive candy and toys by trick-or-treating with different characters, playing games and making a take-home craft.

Fun stops and games throughout the haunted grounds include a photo booth, cornhole, bowling, face painting and much more. Children will be able to meet the Tryon Palace blacksmith, John “The Hammer” Journeyman, as he demonstrates how blacksmithing was done in 18th century, Haggis the Sea Hag as she haunts the spooky stables and the Palace Ghost, if she can be found.

Admission is free for children dressed in Halloween costumes (offer limited to ages 12 and younger), $4 for ages 13-18, $10 for adults and free for Tryon Palace Foundation members.

All passes include admission to the Tryon Palace gardens.
