Coastal Women’s Forum will hold its next Lunch Meeting from noon to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21 at the New Bern Golf and Country Club. Registration and networking will begin at 11:30 a.m. The cost is $15 for members and $20 for visitors.
This month’s speaker will be Sergeant Major Holly Praftke, a leader and trailblazer for women in the military. Among her many outstanding accomplishments during her 31st year career in the Marine Corps, Sergeant Major Prafke received nine promotions, as well as prestigious awards including the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the Volunteer Service Medal. Along with stints in the U.S. and Japan, she also deployed to the war zones of Iraq and Afghanistan.
