Tryon Civitan Food Drive to benefit Religious Community Services

Tryon Civitan Club Food Drive for RCS
Mack Paul and Laura Johnson

The Tryon Civitan Club in conjunction with The UPS Store is sponsoring their 9th Annual Food Drive for Religious Community Services for the Month of May. RCS serves 150-200 meals a day and their Food Pantry provides groceries to 125 families a week. These numbers increase once summer’s here and children aren’t being fed at school. Items needed the most are canned Meat, tuna, spam, rice, mac & cheese, canned spaghetti sauce, pasta, Hamburger Helper, instant potatoes as well as all kinds of beans.

Food items can be dropped off at The UPS Store, 1822 S. Glenburnie Rd (across the street from the main Post Office) from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

For additional information, please contact Mack Paul, Tryon Civitan President, 637-7500.
