Coastal Women’s Forum Hosts TRADEshare

Coastal Women’s Forum TRADEshareThe Coastal Women’s Forum (CWF) TRADEshare will be held March 5 starting at 5:30 until 7 p.m. at The Flame Catering & Banquet Center, 2301 Neuse Boulevard, New Bern. The annual mini-trade show is an opportunity for CWF members to display their products and services for their CWF sisters and guests.

The banquet hall will be ringed with 40 display tables featuring everything from gift baskets to local authors, web development to natural cleaning products, bookkeeping services to artists’ originals, boutique clothing to pet services, coaching to de-cluttering. In lieu of a sit-down dinner, CWF is offering heavy hors d’oeuvres and carving stations to facilitate more time for the attendees to mingle and connect with each other. Tickets are available at CoastalWomensForum.com  and are $22 for members and $27 for visitors.

Since 1988, CWF’s mission is networking, education, and encouragement for women in eastern North Carolina. The group of almost 200 members is comprised of business owners, people in the for-profit and non-profit sectors, and retirees all who are willing to support their CWF sisters in achieving their personal and professional goals.

CWF President Eileen Nonemaker noted, “This is by far the embodiment of the networking part of our mission. This is the perfect opportunity for our members to really get to understand the products, services, and talents offered by our CWF sisters.”

The group does no fundraising but each year CWF sponsors a scholarship for an adult female student at Craven Community College. The monetary award also includes a one year membership to the organization plus access to the monthly CWF meetings so that the student can start building her own professional network.
