Tryon Palace Awarded Wells Fargo Grant for Cultural Arts Programming

Tryon PalaceThe Tryon Palace Foundation is honored to thank Wells Fargo for their generous support of the Tryon Palace 2019/2020 Cultural Arts Series. The $5,000 grant, awarded in May 2019, will enable Tryon Palace to offer low-cost and free performances throughout the 2019 and 2020 programming calendar, with an emphasis on cultural diversity.

“I am so grateful to Wells Fargo for providing the funding to help make this program a reality in the coming year,” said Rebekah Hornek, Cultural Arts Coordinator, Tryon Palace. “Looking ahead into 2020, I’m really excited to bring in performers, lecturers, and authors who will introduce the people of New Bern and Eastern North Carolina to cultures and heritage they may not have had opportunities to experience.”

The Tryon Palace Cultural Arts Series has multiple events scheduled throughout the end of 2019 and in early 2020, including a November performance by “Letters from Home,” a December chamber music concert in the Tryon Palace council chamber, and a performance by Eryn Fuson, a harpist, in January.
