“The Undercover Sting Operation that Recovered North Carolina’s Copy of the U.S. Bill of Rights”
New Bern, NC – Senior Associate Justice Paul Newby of the North Carolina Supreme Court will make a presentation on “Recovering History: The Undercover Sting Operation that Recovered North Carolina’s Copy of the U.S. Bill of Rights” at 7 p.m., Friday, September 20, at the North Carolina History Center.
Justice Newby was an Assistant U.S. Attorney at the time and played a key role in the sting operation. This event was recently highlighted in Our State magazine.
Justice Newby’s presentation is being co-sponsored by the Richard Dobbs Spaight Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the New Bern Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, in conjunction with Tryon Palace as an observance of Constitution Week.
Admission to the event is free and seating is on a “first-come/first-served” basis.
