Craven CC to host blood drives November 14 – 15

Craven Community CollegeNew Bern, N.C. – Craven Community College (Craven CC) will host blood drives on Thursday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Center on the New Bern campus, and Friday, Nov. 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Redd Building on the Havelock campus.

According to the American Red Cross, only 3 out of 100 people in the United States donate blood, yet every two seconds someone needs it. Fewer people are donating blood to help patients, and the public is encouraged to change that by donating at these events.

Donating blood will help kids battling cancer, accident victims and patients fighting life-threatening conditions. Help save a life by giving blood at Craven CC.

The New Bern blood drive will be hosted by the American Red Cross. This event will have a gift card raffle, and all donors will get a free T-shirt while supplies last. The Havelock event is being organized by the Havelock High School Interact Club and will be hosted by Blood Connection, which recently partnered with CarolinaEast Medical Center. Donors must provide a Blood Connection donor card or photo ID and will receive a $20 Visa gift card.
