We are located one block from the beautiful Trent River and one block from Tryon Palace and the new North Carolina History Center near the center of historic downtown New Bern. This renovated 1890’s “rental” house can be your home for a night or a year!
Only a short walk to New Bern’s unique shops (antiques, gifts, clothing, historic hardware, toys and more), six churches, and many excellent and affordable restaurants. Just around the corner from Tryon Palace, the royal Governor’s beautiful residence made New Bern, North Carolina’s first State Capitol.
This Victorian house is furnished with elegant period antiques, some of which may be for sale. The two story, two bedroom, two bath house is yours for privacy, comfort and relaxation, a step back in time but with modern conveniences. Outfitted with a queen sized bed in bedroom #1 and twin beds in bedroom #2.
All linens furnished, personal hand showers in both baths, telephone service throughout the house and three televisions with cable TV. Wireless internet services can usually be provided. Each floor has its own dedicated ducted heat and air conditioning with separate thermostats. All utilities and yard maintenance are included. A small upstairs front room off the hall and bedroom #1 is perfect for an office or study room with its table, chairs, and telephone.
Outfitted with plenty of large windows in every major room create a light, bright atmosphere!
The den is not antique however. With its huge comfortable couch and sturdy coffee table it is ready for TV football games, NASCAR, cooking shows or soap operas.
The downstairs bath off the den has extra space for its vanity table and closet.
The large breakfast room has one of the three TVs and a small desk area with telephone. The up-to-date kitchen has all the conveniences of home. A large refrigerator/freezer with automatic ice maker, self-cleaning oven, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes, stainless flatware, dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer, and, oh yes, the stainless kitchen sink.
Enjoy the fenced in back yard and off street parking for up to two cars!
